RBC Race for the Kids is celebrating 10 years of making a difference for youth struggling with mental health and addiction challenges. Since the first race over $18-million has been raised in support of Sunnybrook’s Family Navigation Project. Thanks to over 60,000 participants we’ve helped thousands of youth in our community, and their families, find the mental health services they needed.

But there’s still work to be done. By participating in RBC Race for the Kids, you’re helping change — and save — the lives of young people affected by mental illness and addiction. You now have two ways to participate in this annual run/walk for charity, in person or virtually, while raising funds for Sunnybrook's Family Navigation Project. Funded by generous donors like you, this innovative program guides youth and their families to the mental health services they need.

Families need our help more than ever. As many as 1.2 million Canadian youth are struggling with mental illness and 30% of Ontario families are caring for at least one youth with mental illness and/or addiction. Learn more about youth mental health and why your support is so important.

Whichever race you choose, every step you take will be helping youth find the mental health support they need when they need it most.

Choose the race that’s right for you

This year we’re offering two ways to participate, virtually from wherever you are, and in-person at Mel Lastman Square.

This 5K race is designed for every fitness level. Run or walk. The in-person route is also family and dog-friendly.

To participate in person and make a lasting difference on youth in our community, a minimum fundraising of $150 or an average of $150 per person amongst team members, will be required to be raised prior to the event. See FAQ’s for more details.

Registration now closed.
