When I was in high school I struggled with mental illness. I became isolated from my friends and family, avoiding classes and spending most of my time online. I didn't know how to ask for help. I didn't believe there were folks out there that could understand what I was going through because my family didn't have access to resources targeted at people my age.
I’m raising money for the Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook, an innovative program that connects young people struggling with mental illness and addiction to the help they desperately need.
The Family Navigation Project is 100% funded by donations.
Your donation through my fundraising page helps ensure that young people and their families find the mental health care services they need.
With your donation, I hope that we can connect young folks with the support and care they need - so no one else has to feel like they're going through it alone.
Thank you so much for your support of the Family Navigation Project and RBC Race for the Kids.
Edit: just gotta say I'm floored with the response from all of you! Your donations have already made it possible for the program to make a difference in someone's life.
This level of support enables the Family Navigation Project to bring a young person and their family to the mental health or addiction services they need.
We're not done yet though! The senior director on our team, Jim Mills, has been going all out with fundraising and is well ahead of the pack.
My goal is to beat his total - by $1! >:D
Every little bit helps so please donate and support a cause I believe in.
