My name is Owen Webbe and I am a secondary school student moving into grade 11 this September.
I'm running the 5 kilometre run with my mother and brother who work full time at RBC.I've decided to take time out of the beginning of my school year to raise awareness and money for youth mental health as it is important to students across the GTA and Canada. students and all kinds of youth across Canada are faced with many challenges. Stress, Anxiety, as well as Social and personal problems and many more factors that can contirbute negatively to one's mental health. Being part of that group, I've been able to see it first hand and help out in the situations that I've just brought up. Mental health for me, my friends, family and others is very important to me, and to be able to contribute to this fundraiser and make a difference for the youth of this city would allow people to realize that mental health is a very vital part of one's general wellbeing. To have the ability to make this kind of difference is very important to me and my family.
No matter what distance I'm running, I'm still raising awareness to this issue and contributing in a postive way to help many others make a difference in the lives of youth like me.
