Race Overview

Over the past six years, the RBC Race for the Kids has rallied over 46,000 participants and raised over $12 million in support of the Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook.

But there’s much more to do so we can help even more families. Whether you choose a leisurely 5K or a more challenging 10K, you’ll know every step you take will be helping youth with mental illness find the support they need. It’s fun too, with lots of events and activities awaiting you at the finish line.

Register as an individual or as part of a team with family and friends. Register early, every year this event sells out.

Why You Should Run

The odds are, you know a young person with an anxiety disorder, a mood disorder, bipolar disorder, depression or an addiction.

As many as 1.2 million young people in Canada are struggling with a mental health issue, but only one in five will get the specialized treatment they need. Any delay in care can have serious implications. Many of these young people and their families simply don’t know where to turn to find the right services and care.

The Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook was specifically created to help them find the mental health care they need as quickly as possible.

When you participate in the RBC Race for the Kids, you support the team of dedicated, knowledgeable navigators that help youth and their families get back on track with their lives.

Your Fundraising Will Be Rewarded in More Ways Than One

There are so many great reasons to join this year’s race. The satisfaction of helping youth find the right mental health care. The elation that awaits you as you cross the finish line.

Plus, there are plenty of awesome fundraising incentives to keep you energized and motivated before and after the race.  Remember, the more money you raise, the greater your rewards. Take a look.
