It is my distinct pleasure to participate in the RBC Race for the Kids, now in its sixth year, to benefit Sunnybrook’s Family Navigation Project (FNP). Please join me in supporting youth mental health and this vital community resource.
Across the province, thousands of young people struggle to find the right mental health and addiction services at the right time. The FNP was created to help families overcome the complexity of our mental health care system. It pairs youth with a clinically-trained navigator, who then connects them to much-needed services. The feedback from young people, their families and community partners has been overwhelmingly positive – the FNP is changing lives.
The RBC Race for the Kids has a direct impact on the lives of young people, and their families, who are searching for mental health care. In just five years the race has raised a cumulative $10 million in support of the FNP’s valuable work.
Let’s continue this momentum and, together, step forward for youth mental health.
