Event Day

Check back for the event schedule!

Bag check

Complimentary bag check is provided for all participating runners through their bibs. A removable bag tag is included on the bottom of your race bib and is to be used when checking your baggage. Please attach the tag to your bag and give it to the volunteer at bag check. Your bib is needed to pick up checked baggage after the race. We will not be able to store any large or oversized items such as strollers or suitcases. RBC Race for the Kids is not responsible for any lost or stolen items, we encourage participants to keep valuable items on them.

Keeping it Green

Our goal is to divert waste from landfill, through recycling and organics collection programs. The following initiatives will be on-site at the event:

  • Free water is available at water stations located across Mel Lastman Square to help reduce waste generated from single use containers, please be sure to bring your own water bottle on race day!
  • Compostable or recyclable food packaging is used, avoiding Styrofoam and serving condiments in bulk where possible
  • Unused food will be donated to local food banks
  • Sustainable transportation
  • We encourage participants to come to the event via bicycle, public transportation or carpool. Bicycle parking racks will be available on Yonge Street in front of Mel Lastman Square.
  • Mel Lastman is accessible via TTC get directions.

Lost children

Lost children can be reported at the Information Tent located in Mel Lastman Square near Yonge Street and the Finish Line. If a lost child is found they will be brought to the Information Tent and an announcement will be made on the main stage.
